One of the most popular reasons for renting an RV on RVshare is attending a NASCAR race. If you’re lucky enough to get tickets to park your rig in the infield of a track like Texas Motor Speedway, Talladega, or Daytona, you’ve got what can only be described as better-than-front-row-seats.

But not every RV makes a good HQ for you and your buddies. Forget about things like ground clearance, solar-powered electrical systems, and big water tanks (you won’t be drinking much water). Instead, you want an RV with a large fridge, outdoor kitchen, big-screen TVs, and massive black tank. The most important feature, though, is a deck, preferably installed on the top of the rig. Throw some lawn chairs and a cooler of beer up there, and you’ve got an uninterrupted, 360-degree view of the action.

Below is our list of five amazing RVs to rent on RVshare for attending a NASCAR race. You can rent any of these RVs right now, or look for similar models available where you live.

2017 Thor Chateau with Sky Deck

  • Rent: $225 per night
  • Sleeps: 8
  • Length: 29 feet

Let’s start our list with this long Class C RV. The owner has upgraded their Thor Chateau with everything a NASCAR fan would want. That includes a massive 52-inch flat screen TV inside the unit, as well as a 42-incher on the exterior. There’s even a third TV in the bedroom, where the owner has also installed a multi-color lightning system (that's for after the race). The fridge is big, and there’s seating for at least eight people inside.

But you’ll want to be outside when the race starts. Thanks to this rig’s custom sky deck, you and your friends can climb above the fray for an unencumbered view. The platform measures 8x8 feet and looks like four or five people would fit comfortably up there with their chairs.

This 2017 Thor Chateau rents for a reasonable $225 per night, and if it makes a difference, it’s powered by a V10 engine. Click here to rent this RV or another one just like it.

2016 Thor Outlaw with Party Deck

  • Rent: $310 per night
  • Sleeps: 8
  • Length: 40 feet

The Thor Outlaw is an amazing RV in its own right. Originally designed as a self-contained Class A toy hauler, the owner of this model ordered the floor plan with a rear bedroom in place of the garage. The kicker, though, is that what used to be used as the ramp into the garage has been repurposed into a party deck complete with a fridge, sink, and TV!

This Outlaw is a great option for families who are NASCAR fans because Mom and Dad get a big, comfortable bedroom (with a locking door) and the kids can sleep on the fold-down dinette, jack-knife sofa, or drop-down bed above the cab. There are also two bathrooms in the Outlaw, one of which is a half bath accessible from the party deck outside.

And yes, while the party deck isn’t high up like the other options on this list, it’s more accessible and has more amenities at hand. And if you can’t see the race, there are no less than four TVs you can catch the coverage on.

This 2016 Thor Outlaw rents for $310 per night. Click here to rent it or another one just like it.

2019 Ram Promaster Custom Camper Van

  • Rent: $149 per night
  • Sleeps: 2
  • Length: 19 feet

This RV is a curveball option for a NASCAR race. It’s unlike any other RV on our list. It’s small, has only one TV, and no full bathroom! But it does have a kick-ass sky deck on the roof from which you’ll have a great view of every left turn.

This custom Ram Promaster camper van is a great choice for a young couple who just wants a place to sleep and a view of the race from the infield. It doesn’t offer much else besides its great maneuverability and the lowest rental price on this list. There is a powered cooler to keep your drinks cold, as well as a two-burner stove to keep the chili simmering.

When we said no bathroom, that was an exaggeration; there’s a hideaway cassette toilet in the van, but its capacity is tiny so you’re better off using public restrooms whenever possible. There’s also an exterior shower installed on the inside of the rear doors, but you’ll be in full view of your neighbors, especially the ones hanging out on their own sky decks.

This 2019 Ram Promaster custom camper van rents for just $149 per night. Click here to rent this RV or another one just like it.

1991 Coachmen Leprechaun “The Beach House”

  • Rent: $220 per night
  • Sleeps: 8
  • Length: 27 feet

This RV may be older than the others, but it’s been fully remodeled and rechristened “The Beach House.” While it’s spent most of its new life near sand and water, it’s equally well suited to the infield of a NASCAR track.

Of course, the rooftop deck is the star of the show. Eight people can fit up there and this unit comes with its own set of folding chairs and a table. The railings look extra beefy too, so don’t worry about letting the kids climb up there.

The owners also include other items that would be fun on the infield, like a propane BBQ, cornhole, and a large sun umbrella.

“The Beach House” rents for $220 per night. Click here to rent it or find another RV just like it.

2009 Ultimate NASCAR RV with Sky Deck

  • Rent: $795 per night
  • Sleeps: 8
  • Length: 39 feet

This is it. This is the Ultimate NASCAR RV, designed specifically to be the King of the Infield and make every other RV owner red with envy.

We don’t know much about the provenance of this RV, but the description says it’s one of 27 in existence and it’s the only one of its kind on RV share. It’s also located in Charlotte, NC, the heart of NASCAR country.

What’s amazing about this RV is that its rooftop sky deck is built right into the structure. It features comfy built-in benches with padding, backrests, and pillows, as well as a mount for two sun umbrellas and space for coolers. You don’t even have to climb a ladder to reach the roof; there’s an interior staircase that will take you to the top!

The other unique feature of this RV is that it’s a bunkhouse and has two sets of bunk beds. The kids will be comfortable tucked away in their own separate sleeping pods. The owners have also added a 4K flat screen TV and include two ice chests, a large outdoor mat, one bench, four folding chairs, and a propane grille.

Not surprisingly, the Ultimate NASCAR RV is the most expensive rig on our list at $795 per night. We think it’s worth it, though, if you can afford it. Click here to rent it and no, you won’t find another one like it on RVshare.
