How Much Does An American Auto Repair Coverage Warranty Cost?

We were able to obtain quotes for plans administered by both SunPath and CarGuard through American Auto Repair Coverage for a 2017 Honda CR-V and a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. See below for more information on the quotes we were provided.

For these quotes, we were given payment terms of 48 months with a down payment that was the equivalent of three months of payments. The deductible for these plans amounts to 30 percent of the total cost of the plan. We reached out to American Auto Repair Coverage for an explanation as to why the cost of the Platinum exclusionary and the powertrain warranty plans are very similar. A representative informed us that this is due to the fact that there are significantly higher cancellation rates for powertrain plans.

We do want to point out that the quote process was long. Our team members noted a certain lack of responsiveness to new customer queries, as we were on hold for 30 minutes when we called. However, you may have a different experience. Eventually, we found that the total cost of these plans versus other reputable extended warranty providers is either on the low or average side of prices.
